P&O Cruises

Once a massive conglomerate, P&O have now split and sold many of their companies with P&O Cruises being one of them. For instance P&O Ferries, the Ferry company who operate out of Portsmouth are no longer associated with P&O Cruises except within the name P&O .

P&O Cruises are the UK’s premier Cruise Line, however they are American owned. Based in Southampton, they are run by the Complete Cruise Solution, who also runs Ocean Village a subsidiary of P&O Cruises. Complete Cruise Solution is owned by The Carnival Corporation, the parent company of Carnival Cruise Lines and also run the UK arms of Cunard Cruises Princess Cruises and the Yachts of Seabourn.

They are the proud owner of six cruise ships, P&O Cruises offer a variety of cruises and cruising styles. Two of their ships; P&O Arcadia and P&O Artemis are child free ships, while P&O Aurora, P&O Oceana and P&O Oriana and P&O Ventura offer cruises for all. All six offer summer cruises from out of the port of Southampton and then for the winter they offer various cruises including Caribbean Cruises and World Cruises.  A further ship, the P&O Azura will be joining the fleet in 2010.

P&O Cruises are a four star, traditional style cruise line and offer the six comfortable ships with their own unique styles. Though not every ones cup of tea, P&O Cruises continue to be popular among UK based cruising fraternity.
