It is advisable these days to obtain travel insurance before going on holiday; if you are going on a cruise it is extremely important. Cruise Travel Insurance does not coast much, unless you have ailments that may cause you to pay a supplement or if your age is pushing towards 80.
Why is cruise travel insurance so important? Well if you are in need of seeing the ships Doctor or other medical treatment on board it will not cheap. At least if you are covered you will not have to worry; although you may need to pay up front and claim it back later, a common problem with insurance policies.
Another factor is, all cruise lines insist on you having cruise travel insurance, after all imagine an accident or emergency on board where you made need to be airlifted off the ship; this is not cheap!
Most insurance policies will also cover you should you need to cancel your cruise; once you are within 12 weeks of a cruise you are expected pay an ever increasing amount of the value of your cruise should you wish to cancel. This could mean having to find the full fare if it is within the last couple of weeks.
We recommend you to obtain Cruise Travel Insurance as soon as possible after booking your cruise, holiday, vacation or Ferry trip.
