Crown Princess
The Crown Princess is currently owned by Princess Cruises, she has been in operation for the cruise line since her maiden voyage on the 14th June 2006 which saw her visit New York, Jamaica, The Cayman Islands and Florida. She then spent her time from July 2006 sailing the eastern and western Caribbean cruises from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, New York.
The cruise ship weighs in at 113,000 gross tons and measures 290 meters in length and 36 meters in width. She can carry a total of 3,080 passengers alongside 1,200 crew members on a total of 19 decks.
Crown Princess fits into the Grand Class of cruise ships. Other Princess Cruises ships that fit into this category are her sister ships; Grand Princess, Golden Princess and Star Princess.
The cruise ship offers a variety of different stateroom options onboard including family suite, suite with a balcony, ocean view double and interior. Each stateroom comes well equipped with everyday amenities including bedding and toiletries.
Popular attractions onboard Crown Princess includes a 300 square foot Movies Under The Stars outdoor movie theatre, a golf course, golf simulators, swimming pools and sports courts as well as the all essential spas and ocean view gym.
When it comes to dining there are many options onboard including two specialty restaurants, a pizzeria, bistro and ice cream bar? Evenings onboard are always full of entertainment from the casino and nightclub to bars and show lounges.
2009 will see Crown Princess visit the British Isles with 12 day cruises from Southampton calling at Guernsey, Cork, Dublin, Liverpool, Belfast, Glasgow, Inverness, Edinburgh and Paris before returning to Southampton. The first 2009 cruises from Southampton for Crown Princess is scheduled for June 2009.
