With the introduction of Celebrity Solstice at the end of 2008, a new class of ship for Celebrity Cruises, they have excelled many cruises wildest dreams of offering an extremely large cruise ship with the luxury that Celebrity cruisers have come to expect. With Celebrity Equinox this dream will continue allowing even more people to enjoy what is perhaps the best of all the non six star cruise lines cruise ships.

While Celebrity Equinox will be the second of the Celebrity Solstice ships, a third, the Celebrity Eclipse is set to enter service in 2010.

After an initial cruise from Southampton to Civitavecchia, otherwise known as Rome, Celebrity Equinox will begin a series of cruises from out of Rome before a repositioning cruise to Ft Lauderdale where she is due to offer some unique Caribbean Cruises for her guests.
