Brilliance of the Seas

Launched in 2002, Brilliance of the Seas is a Radiance class cruise ship owned and operated by Royal Caribbean.

Equipped with all the usual Royal Caribbean extras such as a Rock Climbing Wall, Sports court, Shopping mall; Brilliance of the Seas can comfortably hold some 2,501 passengers held in 1056 cabins. She is 293m long has fifteen decks and weighs in at 90,090 tonnes.

She is the second in the Royal Caribbean Radiance class of ships, the others being Radiance of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas and Jewel of the Seas. Many UK passengers know all about Jewel of the Seas as she has cruised out of Dover for the past couple of years.

In 2005 Brilliance of the Seas was involved in controversy when someone died after allegedly falling overboard. Blood was found in his cabin and where he slide overboard. Royal Caribbean paid the passengers family $1M in compensation.
