Azamara Quest started life as R7, one of eight identical ships belonging to the now defunct Renaissance Cruises. After the demise of Renaissance Cruises, R7 was initially chartered to Delphin Seereisen under the name Delphin Renaissance. She was renamed Blue Moon after Cruiseinvest, the company who bought all the R ships when Renaissance Cruises went under, sold her to Pullmantur.
When Royal Caribbean purchased Pullmantur, Blue Moon was transferred to Celebrity Cruises as Celebrity Quest, with the creation of what is now Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Quest became Azamara Quest.
Azamara Quest is a small cruise ship weighing in at 30,277 tons and able to carry 676 passengers in 338 cabins. Of the 332 outside cabins 249 are balcony cabins.
