It is funny how certain search terms have their moments in the spotlight; Cheap Cruises 2011 is currently one of them and is actually generating more traffic than our main term of Cheap Cruises.
These cruise related blips tend to happen in January as people seek out those 2011 cheap cruises; one thing is for sure and that is by April or May Cheap Cruises 2011 will be replaced by some other term.

P&O Cruises Oriana will be a child free ship as from 30th November 2011. This will mean that P&O Cruises will have three child free ships for the Cruises in 2012 season.
The two other child free ships in the P&O Cruises fleet are P&O Artemis which will soon be replaced by P&O Adonia and P&O Arcadia.

There is a new website out called Cruise Compare and I would like to wish them luck in their venture however please don’t think that you will necessarily end up with the cheapest possible cruise; they are only working with three four cruise lines agents. This may change in the future though I have no doubt!
What made me notice Cruise Compare was endless emails supposedly from different people asking for a reciprocal link exchange with Cruisegle. They wanted a link from my home page in exchange for two links from sites that have thousands of links on them. For those who know little about SEO it is like exchanging a Rolls Royce for a couple of Citroen CV’s.
Anyway gripe over, all I will say is good luck to Cruise Compare but remember others sell Cheap Cruises!
An interesting piece of news in the Liverpool Daily Post today suggests to many in the cruising world that Oasis of the Seas is to offer Cruises from Southampton at some point in the next few years. The post entitled Southampton announces new £30m cruise ship terminal mentions that the project should be completed in 2013 and will create a fifth cruise ship facility that would cater for the largest cruise ships in the world.
OK that is not definitely saying that Oasis of the Seas is to offer Cruises from Southampton however the last time Southampton built a terminal Independence of the Seas turned up; we shall keep you posted.

After a trial with the term Cheap Cruise Holidays I am now reverting back to Cheap Cruises. This may be a temporary measure depending on what happens in the search results. Before reverting my title tag back to cheap cruises I was 5th for cheap cruises and 23rd for cruise holidays.
Like Cruise Deals, Cruise Holidays 2011 is becoming a popular term. In fact any cruise or other holiday related term that includes dates is becoming important. People are now more savvy on how to search for what they are after, hence the inclusion of dates or destinations to search terms.
So Cruise holidays 2011 is being more specific that just using the term cruise holidays; it is telling the search engine to narrow the search down a bit.
As with last minute cruises from Southampton, cruise deals from Southampton is becoming more popular as a search term. In fact with 1,300 people using it a month it is the most popular of the two terms mentioning cruises from Southampton.
Our aim at Cruisegle is to the best cruise deals from Southampton from all the major cruise lines including P&O Cruises and Royal Caribbean et al!
By far the most important term is cruise deals when it comes to gaining traffic; this can be split into many different long tail keywords such as Cruise Deals 2011. When you think about it, cruise deals 2011 is a far better term for someone to use when searching for a cruise than cruise deals itself, why? Well it is trying to narrow down the search to cruise deals in 2011 and not any other date.
The last post that I shall write about Last Minute Cruises concerns Last Minute Cruises from Southampton. This term is searched around 720 times a month so is less effective than last minute cruise deals but worth trying to rank for. In 2010 last minute cruises from Southampton became more popular mainly due to the Ash crises that year.
Carrying on in the last minute cruises vain is the term Last Minute Cruise Holidays, this term when separate has 22,000 searches for cruise holidays added to the 8,000 for last minute cruises, however when used together this drops to just 260 people searching for the term each month!
Another term associated with Last Minute Cruises is Last Minute Cruise Deals; as can be seen this is a mixture of last minute cruises and the term cruise deals. While cruise deals gets 60,000 searches a month, last minute cruises only gets around 8,000. So what happens when you combine the two together to make last minute cruise deals? Well believe it or not last minute cruise deals only gets around 4,400 searches a month making it a relatively small cruise related search term.
I have finally got around to starting the Cruises 2012 section of Cruisegle after recently posting about Cruises 2012 Coming Soon. Initially I have added a couple of cruises from P&O Cruises in 2012, more will follow over the next few days. After P&O Cruises I may add Fred Olsen Cruises and then either Royal Caribbean or Princess Cruises.
I know that by saying Cruises 2012 Finally Here may have been a little misleading, please except my apology if you thought it was totally complete. It cant be as not many of the cruises in 2012 are available just yet.
Why Cruise Leads, Cruise SEO? I am probably going to the World Travel Market WTM tomorrow and needed to get some new business cards done yet could not decide how to express who or what I am; hence using the terms Cruise Leads and Cruise SEO.
When you think about it though, those two words do sum up what I do, I create leads for a Travel agent and also optimise a few websites as well using Cruise SEO techniques. So I went to get some cards and they could not get them done in time for my early train tomorrow. So I had to do them myself; after much cursing I have a few new cards stating what I do, Cruise Leads & Cruise SEO.
I am still undecided how I am going to push Cruisegle forward and am thinking of leaving the Cruise Leads aspect of things while concentrating solely on Cruise SEO. So if there is a company who wants to employ me and take my cruise leads, drop me an email.
It is amazing how many cruise lines will be offering Cruise Holidays from Southampton during 2011; I believe it is 10. In order to fill the new large cruise ships, cruise companies are having to look at making prices cheaper; one way is to cut out the flight.

Just seen reports on Travel Weekly that the Lowcostholidays group who run Lowcostcruising has purchased Ideal Cruising. It looks like the plan is to incorporate Low Cost Cruising into Ideal Cruising however both brands will remain.
According to Travel Weekly Ideal Cruising will focus on the global brands while Low Cost Cruising will be aimed more at the sub £1,000 Mediterranean market.
Part of me wonders how many other mergers or acquisitions will there be in cruising of a similar nature to this Ideal Cruising, Low Cost Cruising one?
Cruisegle is slowley turning in a major resource for those wanting to find cruise holidays. As it grows more cruise lines are being added as are cruise ships.
Being independent Cruisegle is able to talk about the Carnival cruise lines owned companies such as P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Cunard, Costa Cruises, Holland America & Yachts of Seabourn. As well as the Royal Caribbean owned Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises. There are independents as well; Fred Olsen and Norwegian Cruise Line come to mind and a few less well known ones such as Star Clippers. The aim of Cruisegle is to find cheap cruises on all of these and many more.
I know this is a website directed at finding cheap cruises however I am an SEO by trade and am looking for a real full time job. I recently applied for a Luxury Holidays SEO job via an agency but feel those in charge of the company; Western & Oriental, think I am not suitable as I have heard nothing from them!
To be honest I have yet to receive one interview; it does not matter that this site gets thousands of visitors a month and has by and large been created by myself. Nor that I took my old website to the top of Google for search engine optimization. What seems to mater is, I am 48 years old, I did not go to University, I am self taught etc. Yet surely that in itself show that I am capable of doing a Luxury holidays SEO job at Western & Oriental.

In a plan to generate income the Royal Navy is to start its own Cruise Line; Navy Blue Cruises! The first of what will no doubt become many ships to join the cruise fleet will be HMS Ark Royal, however the H will be dropped and she will be renamed MS Ark Royal.
The MS Ark Royal will be classed as a small cruise ship being just 22,000 tons, however she will be one of the safest should she ever come under attack from Pirates.
The number of passengers has yet to be determined; the Ministry of Defence has sent someone to the ship to count the number of Hammocks and to see if it is possible to squeeze a few more in.
The decor will be of a cross between Industrialist and Minimalist design; surprisingly grey and not navy blue being the predominant colour.
The cruising style of Navy Blue Cruises will be regimental; there will be ONE sitting for the main meal and no room service. If you are thinking of getting a seat at the Captains table, well the Government has announced this is being auctioned soon.
MS Ark Royal will be ideal for a cruise ship as it will have one of the longest Sun Decks, at 210m, in the business. Not only that it has a hanger should you wish to take your own private Helicopter (or second hand Harrier) on-board; handy so that you can go where you please instead of relying on the usual shore excursions. Talking of shore excursions, should any port be too small for the ship then decommissioned Rib boats will be used to carry passengers ashore.

I have been updating the Cheap Holidays section of Cruisegle, the first place that has been tweaked is the Cheap Holidays Turkey section which has four of the planed sixteen Turkish holiday resorts started.
I aim to add up to four resorts per day in order to complete the Cheap Holidays section of Cruisegle.
When does a URL shortening service not really shorten a link? When you set your canonical to not use the www. Cruisegle has never been www.cruisegle, it has always been cruisegle.com, which is written http://cruisegle.com/, the shortened version of it is http://goo.gl/qyfM, which is only 2 characters shorter.
There are some other factors as to why it is beneficial to use a shortening service for URL’s but for me it is like using short cruises or short Cruisegle!
How much would you pay for a Cheap Cruise Holiday? It is amazing how much time people waste searching for a cheap cruise holiday; often they may save themselves a couple of £’s but is the time and effort worth it? Surely great service at a cost of a £ or two is better than frustration because you can’t get through to customer service; why? Well there is no money in the pot to pay for the customer service because of all the £’s knocked off the price.
By splitting the cost of cruise holidays into a nightly rate you can find some amazingly cheap cruises even with the top cruise lines; then any savings are in pennies and not £’s. Earlier this year we had some really exceptional cruise deals based on last minute cruises. One I particularly remember was with P&O Cruises which worked out at around £49 per person per night.
When you consider most cruisers look at a figure of around £100 per person per night for a cruise anything under this is very good value. In fact many three star and three star plus cruise lines have regular cruise deals around the £49 to £79 a night.

Just a quick one to say that I shall be adding a new Cruises 2012 section to Cruisegle over the next few days. I know I have not got around to totally finishing the Cruises 2011 section but at least I am giving myself time to complete the cruises 2012 one.

Not many people realise that Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas now offers cruise holidays from Southampton all year round. These are probably going to be more common in the future as cruise lines try to find ways to keep their ships full.

P&O Cruises Oriana is starting her World Cruise today; she is set to cruise from Southampton at around 6pm local time from berth 106.
This 84 night World cruise will visit the following ports of call; Madeira, St Lucia, Margherita Island, Curacao, Panama Canal, Acapulco, San Francisco, Kahalui, Honolulu, Apia, Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington, Sydney, Brisbane, Whitsunday Islands, Cairns, Manila, Hong Kong, Phu My, Bangkok, Ko Samui, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Sharm El Sheikh, Suez, Suez Canal, Port Said, Athens and Lisbon before returning to Southampton.
Oriana is set to return to Southampton on the 17th December 2010.
