It is surprising how many different and diverse cruise destinations there are these days. Traditionally people have cruised across the Atlantic on Caribbean cruises, Mediterranean cruises, Alaskan cruises and Baltic cruises. Nowadays popular destinations also include the Far East, South America including the Galapagos Islands and Australia.
As cruise destinations go, the Far East has perhaps seen the biggest growth over the last two years as the likes of Azamara cruises, Royal Caribbean and Princess Cruises have joined cruise lines such as Star cruises, who are already based in the Far East, to offer more ports than ever. Some of the most popular cruises in the region tend to be the Sydney to Auckland (and vice versa) cruises lasting for about 14 nights.
