This world cruise departs aboard Queen Victoria on January 2nd 09 and sails into New York then Florida before you are transferred to Queen Mary 2 for the rest of your epic voyage.

This world cruise takes a very similar path to that of Victoria but does not stop at quite as many places along the way. You will spend 95 nights at sea and will visit 3 ports for the first time on board a Cunard vessel. Goa in India, Bangkok, Thailand and Salalah, Oman are the 3 new ports of call.

The second newest ship in the Cunard fleet, Queen Victoria announced its arrival on the water in late 2007. The Queen Victoria is not as big as Queen Mary 2 and is also a cruise liner rather than an ocean liner. However she is the second largest vessel ever constructed for Cunard.

Carrying just over 2,000 passengers, the Queen Victoria is a classic Cunard ship and weighs in at 90,000 tonnes. With 7 restaurants and 13 bars on board there are plenty of places for guests to wine and dine. As well as this there is 3 swimming pools for passengers to relax and a theatre and ballroom.

Queen Victoria sails all over the world and offers Cunard’s class and distinction throughout. Originally intended to be a new vessel for Holland America, Carnival Corporation changed their plans are designated her a Cunard ship in late 2003.

Cunard began work on the Queen Victoria in 2004 and she made her maiden voyage in December 2007. With amenities spread out over her 11 decks there is plenty to do on board and all the typical Cunard staterooms and suites will be found on board Queen Victoria.

In 2003 Cunard launched their new and at the time largest vessel on the seas, Queen Mary 2. Her gross tonnage is 148,528 tons and she is still the largest ocean liner on the sea to date.

Queen Mary 2 is a ship in a line of distinguished Cunard vessels that offer quality and luxury cruising. On board you can enjoy the choice of 15 restaurants and bars when dining and 5 swimming pools when wanting to relax. As well as this there is a casino, ballroom, theatre, and a planetarium amongst other attractions on board.

Replacing Queen Elizabeth 2 as Cunards flagship, Queen Mary 2 now makes many transatlantic crossings similar to that of her predecessor. Being able to reach an open ocean speed of 30 knots makes Queen Mary 2 fastest than cruise liners and her ocean liner status is proven with this speed.

On 12th January 2004 Queen Mary 2 made her maiden voyage, departing Southampton and sailing to Fort Launderdale in Florida. Later that year she sailed to Athens to act as a hotel for the 2004 Olympic Games whilst in dock. The Queen Mary 2 is a versatile ship and will stay at the forefront of ocean lining for years to come.

Having sailed 5.6 million nautical miles and having served over 2.5 million guests the Queen Elizabeth 2 is finally making her final journey. The QE2 is cruising for the final time to Dubai.

She is cruising to Dubai to take up her new job as a hotel and entertainment centre. Before departing to Dubai she will do one final farewell lap around Great Britain visiting ports such as Southampton, Liverpool, Belfast and a few others.
