The Carnival Cruises Evolutions of Fun program has been put in place to upgrade the older 2052 passenger Fantasy class vessels that include Carnival Fantasy, Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Sensation, Carnival Fascination, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise.
The first Fantasy class cruise ships was simply known as Fantasy for quite a while until Carnival Cruises renamed their entire fleet, with the exception of Holiday to incorporate the word Carnival. Built in 1990, Carnival Fantasy was refitted in 2001; however under the Carnival Cruises Evolutions of Fun banner she will yet again undergo another, even larger, refit to bring her into the 21st century of cruising.
So what is involved in the Evolutions of Fun program? Simply, though not so simple, the refurbishment of all the 1026 rooms on board the 70,367 ton vessels as well as additions to the pool area with a new water park called the Carnival WaterWorks. Children have not been forgotten with new facilities, known as Circle C for 12-14 year olds being added. Going back to the cabins, 98 of them will be fitted with a new balcony.
The Carnival Cruises Evolutions of Fun program has now started in earnest with both Carnival Imagination and Carnival Inspiration having completed their refits.
