I posted on Cruise Critic about this blog, which started off a real cruise blog, OK now Planet Cruise advertise on here, yet the facts remain it is still a blog. This post (OK it had a cheap cruises link in there) has led to me being banned by Cruise Critic, why? Do Cruise Critic not ask for members to talk about their blogs? Yes they do! I did and I got banned!
The Cruise Critic software is so out of date that I am building something which is even better than Cruise Critic, this though is not to attack them, after all lots of people get a lot of pleasure from them, it is though just to offer an alternative. More on my Cruise Critic plans will follow!
Update 18th Sept 2009, it looks like Cruise Critic has removed my ban, after all this is a blog about cruises!

Trying to get every page indexed in Google is difficult, especially with a website that has Cheap Cruises, Cruises in 2010, Last minute Cruises and Cheap Holidays on different sub domains. So in order to keep us ranking, I am trying out a new plug in for the website, this will hopefully update every time something is added to the site, that way Google will keep coming back and letting us rank high for these terms. By ranking high for these terms means we will generate the income needed to help turn Cruisegle into a great resource for cruising.
There may be a few glitches as we try this new plug in, however this should not stop us from offering cheap cruises via our search box as we aim to keep the website indexed.
Update 27th August: The plugin failed to work and so it resulted in making wholesale back end changes, the site is now working though!

Costa Cruises is to cut its single supplement from 1st December 2010, which means in some cases the single supplement will be as low as 30%. This is a move by Costs Cruises to attract more single cruisers, well that is what they say, yet we all know it is because they have lots of cabins to fill, a result of having too many new builds in such a short period of time.
This is good news for all those who are looing for quality singles cruises and will surely help Costa Cruises fill some of those empty beds.

Paul Gauguin Cruises has been sold to French Polynesia-based resort company Pacific Beachcomber for a yet to be disclosed sum of money. The cruise ship MS Paul Gauguin was recently used by Regent Seven Seas Cruises and has a capacity of 332 passengers.
Pacific Beachcomber has 630 rooms in the Pacific which means that Paul Gauguin Cruisers will have plenty of choices for cruise and stay holidays.

A Windsor based Cruise Travel Agent, Windsor & Neate Travel has apparently gone bust. Thankfully though of little consequence to some, they were members of ABTA as well as a member of Advantage Travel Centres.
This will not be the last holiday company to hit the wall during this recession and probably not the last cruise travel agent either. All companies offering cheap cruises and cheap holidays will have problems if the market does not improve further.

We have added Cruisegle to Twitter, not under the cheap cruises banner, but under our name Cruisegle. Although Twitter is a great tool for socialising most companies use it now for getting little snippets of information across the world fast.
As you can see, most of the top cruise lines are following us, so we must be doing some things right. Some of the posts from off here will be tweated automatically and our aim is to become recognised as the place for Cheap Cruises on Twitter.

No, I am not talking about that waiter who will not leave you alone! I am on about Incognito, the Insect Repellent from Lessmosquito. You may have seen them on Dragons Den in a failed attempt to gain monies from the parasites, well it looks to me like the insect repellant did it’s job as the parasites never bit! Since then the company has grown and could well be remebered as the one that got away from the Dragon’s.
Back to cruises, what has insect repellent got to do with cruising? Well, do you not go to hot places? Just because you are cruising in luxury can you not suffer the odd bite or two? Yes! So why not give Incognito Insect Repellent a go, if you bought one of the many Planet Cruises cheap cruises, you can afford the £7.99 for insect relief.
