Think of Disney and theme parks and family fun for all ages spring to mind. However, the Corporation is determined to become big players in the world of cruising with Disney Cruise Lines planning to double their fleet to four by 2012.
The existing ships, Disney Wonder and Disney Magic each weigh in at 83,000 tons and have a capacity to carry 2,400 passengers. The plans submitted for the two new ships indicate that they will weigh 122,000 tons and have 1,250 cabins.
Disney Cruise Lines combine all the fun of theme-land with magical cruise holidays. The two new builds can only strengthen that reputation.

Holland America have sold Windstar Cruises to the owners of Majestic America Line, Ambassadors International. Carnival Corporation have announced that the boutique line was valued at $100 million.
It would appear that Carnival are keen to concentrate on large scale cruise lines with the sale of Windstar coming on the back of their announcement last year that another boutique cruise line, Swan Hellenic, was to close.
Windsurf has three ships, Wind Surf, Wind Star and Wind Sprit. The vessels will join the Seattle based Majestic America Line who specialize in US rive cruises and coastal cruises.
